Dear NTMA Members,

As the year draws to a close, the North Texas Mycological Association (NTMA) would like to extend our deepest gratitude to you—our dedicated members—for your incredible support, enthusiasm, and commitment since our inception in 2021.

We warmly invite you to join us for our annual Member Appreciation Potluck, a special, free event near downtown Dallas dedicated entirely to celebrating our community.

Event Highlights & Details

1. A Feast of Gratitude (4:30 PM Start, Potluck begins at 6:00 PM)

·       This event is completely FREE as our token of appreciation for all current members of the North Texas Mycological Association.

·       The Potluck: Bring your favorite culinary creation to share! This is a fantastic opportunity to taste the diverse cuisine of our community. We highly encourage the contribution of vegan and vegetarian dishes to ensure options for all dietary needs. Bonus points if it is infused with mushrooms!

·       The Prizes: We will be holding a friendly competition where some of the crowd-favorite dishes will earn their creators a complimentary family membership renewal for 2026!

2. Connect, Network, and Learn

This relaxed gathering is the perfect opportunity to meet and deepen connections with fellow mycophiles, amateur enthusiasts, and professional researchers from the North Texas area. Swap stories from your favorite forays, discuss new finds, and build lasting friendships within our fungal community.

3. Vision for 2026 & Volunteer Opportunities

We will be briefly sharing an exciting glimpse into the plans, projects, and educational initiatives slated for 2026.

This is also a dedicated chance for those of you who have expressed interest in volunteering to learn more. We will have leadership present to discuss key organizational positions we are looking to fill, detailing how your unique skills can make a significant, hands-on impact on the growth of mycology in the North Texas area.
