Description: Join the North Texas Mycological Association for our monthly foray on November 24th at the Trinity Forest Trail Parking Lot, where we will be exploring the rich fungal diversity along the AT&T Trail System. This foray is a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow mushroom enthusiasts, learn about the fascinating world of fungi, and discover a variety of mushrooms in their natural habitat.

As we hike through the trail, we’ll be identifying different species, discussing their ecological roles, medicinal benefits, edibility, and toxic properties. Whether you're a seasoned mycologist or a beginner, this foray will offer valuable insights into how mushrooms interact with their environment and how they can be used in both food and medicine.

This is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of fungi and deepen your understanding of these incredible organisms. We will be meeting at the Trinity Forest Trail Parking Lot. Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign in and register. Also, please be sure to join our iNaturalist project and upload all photos of fungi you find so we can keep track of the fungal biodiversity located in the North Texas region! Your contributions help us build a comprehensive record of the local mushroom species and add to the growing knowledge of our community.
