The North Texas Mycological Association (NTMA) is excited to present our first class of 2025, Medicinal Mushrooms of Texas & Creating Tinctures, taught by NTMA President, Sebastian Tabibi. For millennia, humans have turned to fungi for their healing properties, and many of the life-saving pharmaceuticals we rely on today were derived from the unique compounds found in mushrooms. In fact, medicine as we know it would be unrecognizable without fungi playing a crucial role in the discovery and development of countless "wonder drugs" that have saved hundreds of millions of lives worldwide.
